Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Carbon-12 collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Carbon-12 is operated by Cody Gordon.
1. What we collect
- Discord account. When you sign in to the dashboard, Discord shares your user ID, username, and avatar (the "identify" scope only).
- Server information. Your server's ID and name, the role and channel IDs you configure, and the roles a member holds, which the bot reads to decide access and ranks.
- Org and member records. The RSI handle you provide at verification, org join date, division, rank history, XP and level, and awards.
- Treasury ledger. In-game aUEC amounts, optional notes, who logged each entry, and timestamps.
- Tracker preferences. Your show-or-hide choice for the public roster.
- Technical data. Basic logs and error information needed to run and debug the Service.
We do not collect or store real-world payment card numbers ourselves. If paid billing is offered, payment details are handled by a third-party processor.
2. How we use it
We use this data to run the Service: verify membership, schedule ops, assign ranks, track progression and the treasury, render your org tracker, and keep each org's data isolated from every other org.
3. AI features
Optional features such as the weekly digest and the dashboard "ask" tool send relevant org data to Anthropic's API to generate text. That data is not used to train models. If you do not use those features, nothing is sent to them.
4. The public tracker
Your RSI handle and rank may appear on your org's public roster page unless you or your org hide it. We strip Discord IDs from all public tracker data, and members can hide themselves from the roster on their Quarters page.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We rely on service providers to operate, including Discord (the platform), our hosting and database provider, Anthropic (only for AI features), and UEXcorp (trade data). We may disclose information if required by law.
6. Retention
We keep org and member data while the org uses Carbon-12. Remove the bot or ask us to delete your data, and we remove your org's records, apart from minimal information we are required to keep.
7. Your choices
You can toggle your tracker visibility on the Quarters page, ask an org admin to remove your record, or contact us to request deletion or a copy of your data.
8. Children
Carbon-12 is not directed to anyone under Discord's minimum age (13, or older where local law requires).
9. Security
We use reasonable measures, including per-org database isolation, to protect data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
